I learned in my high school civics class that it's important for me to contact my elected officials and leaders to make sure they're informed on my opinions so they can be sure to express them in the governing of this fine, fine country. (USA! USA! USA!)

In the spirit of this glorious democracy, I've taken it upon myself to contact my elected officials from time to time and express to them my obviously valued perspectives on a variety of subjects. This is a document of those experiences.

The first time I contacted my senators, I was expressing my reluctance in supporting raping the Alaskan Wildlife Refuge for a six-month fix of oil. Senator Allard (R, CO) took time from his busy day to mail me a form letter informing my that my opinions were wrong, and also stupid.

The second time I contacted anyone, it was about the 'Antiterrorism Act' of 2001, and delightful piece of security legislation drafted immediately after some pretty crazy attacks here in America. This time around, I took the time to both email & snail-mail something to both my senators and the House representative for my district.
